- pionships at Clearbrook on the
March 12 weekend, felt it was an

excellent series.

The Caledonia Kermode men-
tor, who led his team to.fourth
piace out of 16 teams, said any
one of six or seven teams could
have won it. .

“The consensus was that there
were the best basketball players
in the last 15 years at this tour-
nament,’? Mackinnon said. He
felt the Kermodes fourth-place
finish was a great accomplish-
ment. :

Mackinnon said one of the
top thrills was knocking off top-
ranked Salmon Arm Jewels. He
also felt it was a wonderful
honor to be awarded the Sports-
manlike Team trophy for. the
second year in a row.

As for Michelle Hendry’s

“selection as Most Valuable
Player, Mackinnon said: ‘It’s
‘largely unheard of. Most times
the player comes from the first

He said the award was a
