DISCUSSION:

The applicants are effectively requesting support for an increase of their
Liquor licence from 225 seats to 325 seats.

The previous limitation in capacity to 225 seats was due to regulations of
the Liquor Control and Licencing Branch at the time of issuing that licence.
Regulations have now changed, and it would be possible for Poco Cabaret
Limited to increase their seating, providing that they comply with all
requirements of the Liquor Control and Licencing Branch, and they received
support from the City of Port Coquitlam.

In accordance with the Procedures Bylaw, this application should be
referred to a Public Hearing and then, if Councii considers that this
application should be supported, the applicant's will have to deal. with
compliance with Municipal Bylaws, including the provision of appropriate
parking.
