The tenders ranged from $18,973.70 to 42,755.86. A copy of the Tabulation of Tenders is attached for your information. All the tenders were checked for arithmetic and found to be correct. All tenders were checked for secur rity requirements, ie: Bid Bonds, Surety's Consent, and Liability Insurance. Only one (Targa Contracting) was found to be incomplete, no Liability Insurance was attached The lowest tender is from Sandpiper Contracting Ltd. in the amount of $18,973.70. There are no variations and their tender is technically acceptable. Dayton and Knight (Jack Lee) has noted that. they are familiar with Sandpiper and have found their | workmanship to be satisfactory. Sandpiper was also the low bidder on the Eastern watermain project and were recommended for acceptance by Dayton and Knight. I recommend that Project 900-238 be awarded to the lowest tenderer, Sandpiper Contracting Ltd. in the amount of $18,973.70 Our estimate for the work was $24,000 of which we have received from F isheries and Oceans and the Ministry of Enviornment and is in a.
