The Petition of the City of Port Coquitlam

HUMBLY SHOWETH

That the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port
Coquitlam has by Bylaw No. 2628 cited as the "1700 Block Freemont Street
(Plan 2416) Road Closure Bylaw, 1991, No. 2628" stopped up and closed to
traffic a certain portion of road therein described;

That the said Bylaw Ne. 2628 of the Corporation of the City of Port
Coquitlam was reconsidered, finally passed and adopted by the Municipal
Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam on the 18th day
of November, 1991 and a duly certified copy 1s attached hereto;

That the registered owner of one of two parcels of land adjoining and
contiguous is the Provincial Crown and a representative thereof has
consented to the closure of the said portion of road described in Bylaw

No. 2628;

That the registered owner of the only other parcel of land that is
adjoining and contiguous, Pitt River Marina Ltd., 200 - 133 West 17th
Street, North Vancouver, B.C., V7M 1V5 (Incorporation Number 395373), has
consented to the closure of the said portion of road described in Bylaw
No. 2628 and has agreed to accept title to the land comprising the same;

‘That the portion of road described in the said Bylaw No. 2628 has never
been opened to traffic nor has public money been expended thereon and it
is the desire of the Council of the City that title to the portion of road
described in the said Bylaw No. 2628 be vested in the adjoining owner
aforesaid, Pict River Marina Ltd., which will pay to the City the sum of
$19,000.00 as the value of the land comprising the said portion of road
and has borne all survey costs;

THEREFORE your Petitioner humbly prays for the abandonment of the said
portion of road described in Bylaw 9628 of the Corporation of the City of
Port Coguitlam and the yesting of the title of the land comprising same
in Pitt River Marina Ltd., 900 ~ 133 West 17th Street, North Vancouver,
B.C., V7M 1V¥5 (Incorporatioa Number 395373)
