Centre Coordinator to the Honorable Robert deCotret, Minister of Environment; Ottawa, be supported and further that the Provincial and Federal Ministries of Environment be advised of this Support. Background & Comments: Environmental Pretection Committee considered correspondence from the District of Maple Ridge, the District of Pitt Meadows, and the District of Abbotsford regarding the establishment of a Trepospheric Ozone Forecasting Service for Our area, It was noted that these three municipalities supported a letter to the Honorable Robert deCotret, Ministry of Environment from the Community Education and Environment Development (C.E.E.D.) centre in Maple Ridge for the establishment of a Tropospheric Ozone Concentration Forecast Service. This forecast service would include levels of carbon dioxide (GO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), sulpher dioxide (802) s and suspended particulates. Txe information collected would be made available to the general population through a bulletin board service operated by C.E.E.D. or by telephone. The main purpose would be to ferecast when levels were expected to be high or above normal, hence presenting a danger to children or seniors venturing in the outdoors. C.F. (Kip) Gaudry, P. Eng.
