Sh ae i . | oy t Bart Attention: Mr. Tony Chong , : City Engineer ——4 ee ~~ awd Dear Mr. Chong: - tg I have discussed our problem of trucks parking on the street in front : Lo &§ of our building, with Mr. Mammel and he suggested I write to you. ne a . Qur address is 1574 Kebet Way. There is no parking on the north side of 7 oe Kebet and I wish you would not allow truck parking overnight on our side of foe fe, the road. a By Kebet Way and Coast Meridian has become a parking lot for Tractor Trailers a. ve and trailers are being dropped along Kebet Way overnight and sometimes for : 7 : days. They leave dunnage under the landing gear which breaks up and creates | a mess as in front of our place right nov. 4 7 4 However our main concern is people dropping trailers in front of our Bo premises but too close to our driveway. . _ : The drivers park their trailers close to our entrance so no one can park ae é oe in front of their trailer which would stop them from hooking up again. Our ; ae problem is that we are a trucking company who mainly uses our property for a parking so we don't block the roads, and sometimes trailers are dropped so _ Be | close to our driveway we can't swing enough to get in or out of our yard. oe Our drivers have had to go around the block to attempt entering from the other direction and sometimes it is very difficult to get into our yard. [I would prefer no parking or dropping trailers on Kebet Way but if this isn't possible could you (as Mr. Mammel suggest) put up signs so no one can = pack within 20 feet of our driveway or at least paint yellow "no parking” on the curbs within 20' of our entrance. It is very annoying to park all our trailer and trucks in our yard at great expense, only to have other competitors cut their costs by leaving trailers on the roads and in many cases as ¥ have explained, blocking us in our own yard. : a OS at I ‘appreczave any help you can give our company in this matter. My Neighbors : : OP along Kebet would also appreciate no truck parking on thawsieet. ped * : i a . rm oe Yours Truly . ee CARMICHEAL TRANSPORTATION |, . " " 2 “" PCGUNCILSTTTEMT PAGE JG/eb : “ wena
