A By-law to amend the "Traffic Regulation By~law, 1971, ‘ APR 14 1375: WHEREAS the Municipal Council may,by By-law in pursuance of the authority of Section 125 of the "Motor Vehicle ‘Act" being Chapter 253, R.S.B.C. 1960 as amended, provide for the regulation, control, or prohibition of pedestrian and other traffic ‘on walkways and ways within the Municipality and may prohibit the use of or presence on, of any designated animal or vehicle or species or type thereof, either at all " times or at designated times; AND WHEREAS the walkway, way, or trail known as the "PoCo Trail" shown marked on the plan annexed hereto has been in common usage by the public as a pedestrian walkway, way, or trail for many years and it is deemed expedient for the protection of the persons using same that the entry thereon and the use and presence thereon of any animal or vehicle of every species or type thereof shall be prohibited at all times. THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: _ 1. Division 3 of the "Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. 1117" is amended by renumbering Sections 303 and 304 “as 304 and 305, respectively, and inserting the ' following, after Section 302, as Section 303: . "303, The use of and presence on, that walkway, way, or trail identified as "PoCo Trail" and shown marked on the plan entitled "Port Coquitlam PoCo Trail" attached to and made part of By-law No. 1371 etted ag the "Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. 1117, Amendment By-law, 1975, No. 1371" of every horse, either ridden or ériven, and every vehicle of every species and type thereof, including motor vehicle, motorcycle, and “trail bicycle” is hereby prohibited at all times". 2. Section 801. of the By~law is repealed and the following substituted therefore: "B01. Subject to Sections 126 and 126A of the "Motor Vehicle Act" every person “who violates any provision of this By-law shall be guilty of an offence and upon summary conviction thereof shall be liable to a fine or penalty not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) and the provisions of the “Summary Convictions Act" being Chapter 373, R.S.B.C. 1960 as amended, shall apply thereto." 3. The plan annexed hereto entitled "Port Coquitlam PoCo Trail" 1s attached to and made part of this By-law. . 4. ° This By-law may be cited for all purposes as the "Traffic Regulation By-law, 1971, No. 1117, Amendement By-law, 1975, No. 1371",
