THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM , C ¢ , . MEMORANDUM C . . AUG 11 1975 TO: Mayor and Council July 29th, 1975 FROM: R.A. Freeman The Council will recall that at its last meeting Alderman Mabbett mentioned the 10 cent charge recently instituted by B.C. Telephone Company for bill payment at their local payment agencies. Alderman : Mabbdett has asked me to draw to the Council's attention the fact that some years ago ~ approximately 1965 — the B.C. Telephone Company had a business office in Port Coquitlam at their building on Leigh Square and it is Alderman Mabbett's feeling that this business office should be re~established in view of the large growth experienced by Port Coquitlam and its adjoining areas since that time. If Council are in agreement might we suggest that consideration be given to the following resolution: "That the City Clerk be instructed to contact the British Columbia Telephone Company and request that its business office be re-established in the City of Port Coquitlam to facilitate the payment of bills and other necessary dealings with the telephone company". r Kone DR cnr et R.A.
