Sturgeon and took in the social on Friday night. Mr. and Mrs. James Barron, of Rose Lake. were Forestdale visi- tors, renewing friendships and taking in the social'on Friday. . Miss: A. Carter and Miss E. Strimboldh, of Topley, were visi- tors here last Friday, Every suecess. attended the church social on the 6th, and the program was extensive and most enjoyable. Mrs. Carruthers and daughter, of Houston, were heard to advantage in ‘‘Kentucky Belle’”’ and “‘Dolly’s Bazaar’’, while the recitations of Mrs. E. Severson were excellently rendered. The singing of Miss I. Sturgeon was a great delight, and very accept- able were the vocal offerings of Miss A. Carter. The minstrel troupe, composed of Rev. Cousins, FE. Rendles,.E, Twaddell, and Stan. and Bobbie Horning, was a source of much mirth. Rey. W. Mawhinney gave an interesting address on music and social life, and Rey. E. Bruce Cousins, in the chair, - -kept the ball rolling all evening. The ladies who for the most part were.concerned in the success of the affair were Mrs. F. Horning, Mrs. EB. Twaddell, Mrs, T.
