LEE THEATRE, APRIL 21at8P.M. ‘Operation Elizabeth R’ is the code name for the St. Michael’s Choir School tour which commenced April 12 with the flying of 112 boys from’ Toronto to Calgary. We have heard that their Toronto Easter presentation was truly inspiring and beautiful. . ae ' ‘They will be singing in concert at the R.E.M. Their itinerary is as follows: April 12 - plane - Toronto to Calgary, bus - Calgary Airport to Drumheller April 13 - Drumheller — April 14- bus to Medicine Hat College . April 15 - Train to Van- couver April 16 - concert in Or- pheum Theatre April 17 - ferry _ Tsawwassen to Victoria April 18 - Concert in Royal Theatre ; April 19 - bus to Kelsey Bay, Board ferry. pril 20 - arrive Prince Rupert, concert at Roosevelt School ; April 21 - bus to Terrace. School concert, 2 p.m.,, Veritas school, evening concert at 8 p.m. - R.E.M. During their tour they will meet elght sets of host parents. All education rightfully concerns the enriching of experiences of students. At St. Michael's Choir School this takes on a special form. On tours, not only do the students see many sights and meet people of various backgrounds. Wherever they travel they are and will remain far more than mere tourists. They take with them their art and they share it with others. They sing in concert halls and in fetal * they liturgical services across the country and beyond. They encourage others to give praise to their creator rough music. In short, Ip others to grow as they grow themselves. Instrumental and theoretical studies com- lement the students' choral aining. While all boys have a weekly piano lesson, many others choose also to study the pipe organ, violin and classical guitar. Many recitals are held throughout the year. All students receive diplomas from Toronto’s Royal Con- servatory of Musie which are recognized throughout the world.
