SUBJECT: Purchases of Replacement Equipment (1991)

_ Earlier this year, a package was presented to City Council through the Public
Works Committee which included tenders for the purchase of two (2) Mazda sub-
ompact cars for the Bylaw Department. Regrettably, the dealership could not provide
the vehicles after the manufacturer's deadline and subsequently went out of business.

The City recently received tenders for the purchase of the two sub-compacts and
one stationary welder.

Hamel Ltd. for (1) Lincoln Welder at $4,236.43.

Would you kindly review the information enclosed with the Public Works

Committee, requesting approval to forward the equipment package to City ¢ Council for -
the approval of funding in the amount of $23,785.43.
