Alderman Mabbett referred to 2 newspaper article concerning the refusal of self-serve fact that the District of Coquitlam has refused to allow self~serve gas stations in that municipality, and he requested that the City Clerk obtain all the relevant information thereon for Council. Alderman Mabbett referred to forthcoming meetings on the North side traffic count data of the Fraser River Highway System, and he proposed the following motion: River hwy.system Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That the Department of Highways be requested to take traffic counts as soon as possible both East and West at the following locations, for use in discussions at the meeting of January 27th, 1977, with the various municipalities in regard to the North-side of the Fraser River highways problems: (a) Lougheed Highway going East ahead of the Pitt River Road intersection; (b) Lougheed Highway going Fast ahead of the Westwood intersection; (c) Lougheed Highway going West ahead of the Westwood intersection, and at the same time, East and West counts on Westwood just East of Como Lake Road and East and West on Pitt River Road.
