That Delcan Corporation be awarded the contract for the design and supervision of the
Kingsway reconstruction project at an estimated cost of $107,428.00 including GST.

That funding ($107,428 plus 15% contingency =$123,542) for the consulting
engineering fees for the project be taken from the 1993 Capital Budget for Public
Works.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

As part of the Capital Works program for 1993, Kingsway Avenue from Westwood Street to
the Coquitlam River Bridge will be reconstructed.

For this project the services of a consulting engineer are required to undertake the design,
tender, contract administration and inspection for the project.

Six invitations for tender were sent out to the following:
