7. GAS INSTALLATION PERMITS No contractor, dealer, or other person may, without first obtaining a permit for the purpose issued pursuant to this Bylaw, construct, erect, install, repair or alter any gas or oil pipes, fittings, tanks, oil burning equipment or appliances using flammable liquids as fuel, compressed gas systems and tanks designed for use. in the storage of gas under pressure for cooking or for the heating or lighting of any pbuilding. An application for a permit for flammable liquid and combustible liquid storage tanks and heating oil systems shall be made to the Fire Prevention Department of the City and shall include: A statement of the intended use of the premises or the operations to be conducted on the premises. A plan or other description of the work to be performed. The signature cf the applicant. No person shall cover oF use any of the equipment mentioned in Article 7.1.1. hereof until the equipment has been inspected and approved pursuant to this Bylaw. An applicant for a permit under this Bylaw shall pay to the City before issuance of the permit, the fees a5 shown in Part VIII of this Bylaw. oy Any permit issued pursuant to this Bylaw authorizing work to be done shall be void and of no effect if the work is not commenced within two months and completed within six months of the issuance of the permit. A permit shall be valid only for the location for which the permit has been ‘ssued. 8. PERMIT AND INSPECTION FEES 8.1.1. The City official responsible for the inspections required herein and the administration of this Bylaw shall be the Fire Chief, or @ person or persons the Fire Chief may authorize in writing to exercise the powers of a local assistant under the Fire Services Act. Additional fees may be required other than provided for in this Bylaw, by regulations passed pursuant to the Fire Services Act. ivEM
