2406(3) THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM The Minister of Municipal Affairs, Province of British Columbia. The Petition of the City of Port Coquitlam HUMBLY SHOWETH: That the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam has by Bylaw No. 2406 cited as the "Welcher Avenue (Plan 1959) Road Closure Bylaw, 1989, No. 2406" stopped up and closed to traffic a certain portion of road therein described: That the said Bylaw No. 2406 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was reconsidered, finally passed and adopted by the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam on the 6th day of February, 1989 and a duly certified cepy is attached hereto; That the registered owners of all the adjoining and contiguous lands have consented to the closure of the said portion of Road described in the said Bylaw No. 2406 and The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam has agreed to accept title to the land -omprising the same; That it is no longer necessary to use the portion of road described in the said Bylaw No. 2406 as part of the road system of the City and it is the desire of the Council of the City to obtain title to the land comprising the same in order that it may be transferred to an adjacent owner, The Port Coquitlam Senior Citizen Housing Society, for tHe nominal sum of $1.00 to better enable that Society to construct an addition to the senior citizens' housing facility, Hawthorne Lodge, located on the adjacent property. That by resolution date the 6th day of February, 1989 the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam authorized the presentation of a Petition to the Minister of Municipal Affairs praying for the abandonment of the portion of road described in the said Bylaw No. 2406 so stopped up and closed to traffic; THEREFORE your Petitioner humbly prays for the abandonment of the said portion of road described in Bylaw No. 2406 of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam and the vesting title of the land comprising same in The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam.
