In comparing the economics of P.V.C. vs. D~l. water pipe, one should be awara that the pipe prices represent on 30% to 50% of the total installation cost (material, labour and edaquipment) dependent upon the pipe size and. field ecnditions. The pipe cost savings determined from the above table may or may not be off-set by the cost of the. other portion of the total installation cost. Current contract prices however do show a consistent lower unit cost for the Installation of P.V.C. over D.1. water pipes.
