SUBJECT: Energy Saving Changes to City Hal! - :
Report of Energy Committee Meeting July 20th, 1983

RECOMMENDATION:

1. That the City proceed with the following changes to the City
Halt heating and air conditioning System as recommended by
D.W.. Thompson during the Energy Seminar:

(a2) Provide controls to the boiler to automatically shut

the boiler down at outdoor temperatures of 15.60C and

(b) Experiment with the air Supply system to reduce the
number of operating hours below what is currently being

for the items above which require some engineering input.

That the approximate cost of $3,500 for ai! the above
recommendations be taken from the Energy Conservation Fund
in the 1983 Budget,
