MONTHLY SERVICE REPORT
CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM
SEPTEMBER 198]

During the month of September, a total of 34 complaints were received,
bringing the total for the year to date up to 299, down from 342 in
1980.

Whilst the number of animals picked up remained almost the same, there
has been a slight decrease in those animals claimed, this matter wil]
be investigated.

- The number of animals destroyed through the pound operation was reduced
from 79 to 60, whilst the dead animals picked up off the streets was
reduced 25 to 15 and the number of surplus animals destroyed was
reduced from 46 to 42.

Discussions wil] be taking place in the near future in respect to
changes to the By-Laws for the year 1982.
