CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITMN PARKS & RECREATION COMMITTEE meeting of the Parks & Recreation Committee was held in the Pa ks & Recreation Office on June 25, 1991 at 8:00am. A In attendance were Alderman Mike Thompson and Alderman Marg Cordon. Also in attendance was K. Janna Taylor, Parks & Recreation Director. Item No. I Ball Diamonds — McLean Park & Thompson Park & Recreation Director outlined the problems at the colt diamond at Thompson Park and the main diamond at McLean The Parks Park. Homeowners adjacent to both ball diamonds have been complaining about foul balls going into their front yards. The situation is unsafe and should be corrected. The Parks Superintendent has investigated a solution and also provided a costing. Both groups using the diamonds have been contacted and have been notif ied of the problem and the solution. cover the cost of the netting etc. will come from the park D.C.C. interest. Cedar'rive Pathway The Parks & Recreation Committee reviewed a report from the Parks Superintendent regarding Judy Johnstone's fence. An and onsite inspection was done with the Parks Superintendent the commi.t tee members. It was agreed that it would be appropriate to repair the broken planking on the fencing.
