WE HAD 40 voting members at the December general meet-

‘ing, and your executive for 2007 was elected.

President is. Peter Crompton, Les Sinnott is 1st Vice
President, John Austin is 2nd Vice President, Bernie Hal-
lock is your Secretary and Ray Hallock is our Treasurer. .

The directors elected. where Joyce Bradley, Lisa Gen-

. dron, Bob Paulis, Rosanne Pearce and Ray Forget. Many .

thanks. go out to our outgoing President Cmde Doug Mis-

- feldt for two years of hard work and dedication, and to his -

executive.

_» At our December meeting we presented awards to stu-_
dents’ who entered our poem poster essay contest for Re-

membrance 2006.

Awards were given to Evan Jennings for senior poem,

to Anthony Pires ‘for j junior black and white poster winner,
to Tianna. Vietas for junior'colour poster, to Josh Dodds for
black and white intermediate poster winner, to Dorothy Je-
drzejzyk, for second place and: to Jaclyn Oleksewich, for
third place.

The intermediate colour poster winner was Brandon De
Medeiros, while second went to Amanda Eves and third to
Joanna Jedrzejezyk,

‘The winner of the junior poem was Elizabeth Strangway
while second went to Kelsey Booth. The intermediate poem — .

winner was Tinzel Uy, while second went to Saskia Hart and

third to Kayleen Tomas.

The First. Night Swim welcomes the public to a night

. of games, music and a polar bear dip from 8:30 p.m.. New

Year’s Eve.to.12:30 a.m. New Year’s Day.

“This swim is for the more fair weather polar béars,” she

says, adding that the plan i is to sink ice cubes into the main

pool for the dip. The cost is $9 per person or $30 for a family
of four. Space is limited so swimmers are asked to register
in advance.

The Resolution Swim offers everyone the chance to kick -

From: November 15 to April 01

Under Bylaw No. 1313-1993, and: amendments thereto,
every municipal street and road is designated as a snow
‘removal route, and parking on them is prohibited during
the winter months, f. rom November 15th to April 1st.

| Any vehicle that — impedes snow removal

and/or road maintenance work on any snow
removal route can be towed.

Also, it is an offence to place snow from any
private property onto the road Right-of-Way;
it creates drainage blockages, buries and plugs up fire
hydrants, and interferes with routine snow plowing
and/or road maintenance.
