Re: Operating Cost for All-Weather
Field Lighting |

I have calculated the energy and maintenance costs
for the operation of the lights at the Reeve Street all-
weather field. The energy cost varies from about $1.40 to
$1.50 per hour of use depending upon the number of hours
used per month. The maintenance cost works out to approximately

45¢ per hour of use.

It would seem that the suggested charge of $2:00 per
hour would be a very reasonable charge for the coming season
if the intention is to recover only the operating costs. If
the capital cost of the lighting is to be recovered, then the.
charge would certainly have to be higher. ,
