i ene ele hehe AR et September 26, 1989 The Mayor and City Council, City of Port Coquitlam, 2588 Shaughnessy St., Port Coquitlam, B.C. Your Worship and Members of Council, We would like to draw your attention to our concerns regarding the rezoning of the property on McLean St. (to M3) prior to the public hearing on Oct. 2, 1989, IMt% Hehean Bylaw ays It has come to our attention that this 4 lot industrial subdivision will have 3 driveways onto Taylor St. (directly in front of our house - on a residential street). When we purchased our lot, we had to have our house plans changed to a drivewey/garage at the back of the house, not onto Taylor St. We were told that we were too close to the intersection with McLean to be allowed access to Taylor. The original owner of the property had to put in the lane before he was allowed to subdivide the property. We would like to see the same restrictions put on this small industrial developement - they could put in a lane/driveway along the back of the property leading directly to McLean St. We do not want these driveways on Taylor St. This would increase the traffic on Taylor St. and increase the traffic hazards to all of the children who walk to and from school along this stretch of road. If there were no driveways there could also be a fence or trees or some form of buffer between the industrial area and our residential area. We would like to see the same restrictions apply to this developement as were applied to ours ~- NO ACCESS TO TAYLOR ST. There should be no discrimination between the requirements for a residential developement and an industrial one. Thank you for attention to this matter. Sincerely, Cal and @onna Kaytor 1964 Taylor St., Port Coquitlam, B.C. V38C 4Y9 941-8873
