Becember 19, 1988/293 A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act was held prior to the Council meeting of the Corporation of The City of Port Coquitlam held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, December 19, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. Mayor L.M. fTraboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Engineer I.M. Chong, Directer of Community Planning, W.A. Brown, City Solicitor C. Murdy and Secretarial Assistant to the City Clerk ยง. Rauh. ZOMING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaws would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2395 Lots 2 to 5, inclusive, District Lot 255, Group One, Plan 17243, New Westminster District from RS-3 (Estate Residential) to RS-2 (Small Lot Residential). This property is located at 1744, 1756, 1768 and 1780 Morgan Avenue and would permit the subdivision of the property to create additional residential lots. The following people were present to speak regarding the proposed rezoning. Mr. P. Dalla~Zanna, 3363 Edinburgh Street inquired as to who would carry the cost of opening Brown Street. The City Engineer replied that for the most part this amount would be paid by the first developer to subdivide. Mr. G. Clark, 1794 Morgan Avenue expressed concern over the poor road condition especially with another 26 family homes going in, would Morgan Street be improved. Mr. C. Perkrul, 1744 Morgan suggested that signs be put up discouraging large trucks from using Morgan Avenue. Mr. R. Perryman, 1952 Morgan Avenue believed Council to have said that Brown Street would remain closed. The City Engineer replied that Brown was to remain closed only to Menzie Street.
