Brown Director of Community Planning RE: Parking Regulation's Development Management Bylaw RECOMMENDATION: That City Council direct the Clerk's Office to prepare a by law amending the Development Management Bylaw No. 2242, revising parking requlations as follows: 5(b) Multiple Family Dwellings 1,5 for parking sta!is tor each dwelling and 1 visitor parking stall for each 5 dwellings Off street parking regulations of section 9 (b) are modified as follows; i) 75 percent of the parking stalls shall have a clear length of 5.5 metres, a clear width of 2.7 metres and a clear neight of 2.1 metres ii) 25 percent of the parking stalls shall have a clear length of 5 metres, a clear width of 2.5 metres and a clear height of 2.1 metres _e it) parking stalls suitable for handicapped individuals shal! be installed to meet the size requirements and number specified in the British Columbia Building Code iv) When. a parking stall adjoins a fence or structure over 300 millimeters in height, width of the parking stall] shall be increased by 300 millimeters COMMENTS: The changes proposed are a series of minor technica! amendments. Impetus for the changes, arose from a request during Council deliberation about a spetific application for a development variance for low income housing.
