Lockwood, P. Eng., Assistant City Engineer, be authorized to attend the Annual Public Works Association Conference being held in Dawson Creek, September 17-19, 1975, and that his expenses in connection therewith be paid by the City. From the City Administrator, June 27th, 1975, advising for information eS that with respect to the Zoning By-law Amendment to cover building in the flood plain deferred for one week at the previous Council meeting, a copy of the proposed By-law and relevant reports and correspondence were forwarded to the Water Resources Branch asking for their comments on why there appears to be discrepancies in the application of the flood-plain zoning regulations, and stating that when these comments are received, the matter will be returned for Council's consideration. Alderman aking stated his concern that the Water Resources Branch would not be aware of the suggestion to reduce the habitable floor area from 16.9' G.S.C. to 14"; however, the City Clerk advised that the By- law was not forwarded for approval, but merely for comment, and pointed out that the portion of the minutes of the June 23rd, 1975 Council meeting pertaining to that subject were sent along with the By-law. From the Public Works Committee, June 27th, 1975, advising of ©} tenders received by the Purchasing Agent for the supply and delivery of a tandem cab and chassis for the garbage packer. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended in a report from the Public Works Committee, June 27th, 1975, the tender received from International Harvester Company for the supply and delivery of a tandem cab and chassis for the garbage packer at the quoted price of $25,042.50, plus 5% sales tax, be approved. City Eng.re tenders From the City Engineer, June 27th, 1975, advising of tenders received -crew cab truck,2 4-ton pick-up trucks & k-ton van by the Purchasing Agent for the supply and delivery of a crew cab truck, two half-ton pick-up trucks, and a half-ton van, and that on authorization from the Public Works Committee and the City Administrator, orders for the vehicles have been placed with Rod McCallum Mercury, the low bid, because ® the prices would be subject to a 6% increase after June 30th and delivery delayed.
