Further to our telephone conversation this afternoon, this letter ia
to advise Council that I represent a group of parents in the Mary pee aren ©;
Port Coquitian who wish to set-up a non=profit-nalcing, ae ene saneegiPation Prey
school. This pre-school would te a nenber pre-school of the Gouneil of Paren
Participation Pre-schools in B.C.

We are fully aware of the licensing regulations and are familiar
the terns and conditions of the Comunity Care Facilities fet, to which we would
edhere at sll tines. We ere working clocely with Hrs. Mary Brow of the Simon

fraser Health Unit, whe, in ker position of Co-ordinator, Community Care

Facilities, is being of invaluable help.

Gur prograa is at present in tho carly planning stages, but we
anticipate that ve should like to operate two norning Eessions per waok for 3~
year-olds, and three morning sessions per week for four-year-olds, The a-7ear~
olés elses youle, ve anticipate, eater to 15 children, and the A-year-olds class
to 1@ chiléron. 411 classes would be supervised by a pre-school teacher
qualifieé under the Community Gare Licensing Regulations and assisted by two
parert~helpers,

knowledge and gernission of the Beard of Southside Baptist Shurch, pitt Rivor
Road, to request of Council confirmation in writing that our project ww , ro to
conflict with soning by-laws if, as is intended and hoped, our pre-school were
be located in prenises at Southside Baptist Church.
