While specific anni- versary plans haven’! been announced, the society has revealed it’ll be presenting five plays during the 2002-03 theatre season, First up is Desdemona, A Story of a Handker- chief, directed by Patrick McIntyre, followed by Bus Stop, directed by Chris Stone. Gerry Steubing directs the dinner theatre presentation, Norm Foster's Affection of May. Daniel Barnswell plans to direct an as-yet-unnamed Kico Gonzalez-Risso play for the second year in a row. Bath Desdemona, the Story of a Handkerchief (by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Paula Vogel) and A Cold Dark Matter Production’s Un- dressing the Nation (written by Vancouver play- wright Kico Ganzalez-Risso and directed by Da- niel Bamswell), are headed to Prince Rupert. Undressing the Nation, running throughout Ri- verbaat Days, is also entered in the Prince George Fringe Festival. Ten plays in all are taking part, including Har- bour Theatre’s collective effort, Tales from the Out- house, Dead TV, written and directed by Prince Rupert’s wildly original Rudy Kelly, and Jewel, a monologue presented by Quesnel’s Gypsy Project. The fourth annual Udder Fest takes place at three separate Rupert venues Aug. 7-11. Each evening is capped off by late night improv at the Moby Dick.
