They are sof all children. On Tuesday Parkside had a very successful See (rip to the Police Station with the children loving mevery minute of it. On Wednesday some of the obstacle races with bath playgrounds fully participating. The children remaining al 1 Parkside imprayised skits and entertained each olher, The skits were repeated again on @ Thursday for the benefit of those who misséd me them. Safety Posters were made in arts and crafls and bicycles were decorated for the B bicycle Roadeo on Friday. Al Uplands the children were still enjoying charades and fingerplays as well as many very active games. A continuing story is also in progress every day and will be continuing all summer, The Uplands children also decorated their bicycles Friday morining with prizes going @ to the best decorated bicycles, The Community Centre Playground spent most of (he week preparing for the bike roaden™ Friday starting with the coloring of. safety- posters on Monday. Last week they enjoyed pedal dipping and lie 4 dying immensely and still want to continue with these crafts, The children at the Hart Farm Camp definitely appear to be enjoying themselves from‘the yells and screams of -happiness ['ve heard and the many smiles I saw. Many appear to want to return for the next ‘camp and all the children preparing to go are _ Wailing anxiously, Swimming and dunking the ‘playground leaders seems to be the best part of (he camp. Nature craft and camp craft is also ‘being stressed in most of the arts and crafts and games. ~ A wounded “Barred Owl” was faken up to the Harl Farm on Tuesday on loan to it for the summer from the §,P.C.A and this is an added attraction for those there and those who are leaving for camp shortly. Next week at the playground i is Athletic Week ‘with no big special event event planned. Each playground will be having its own Sports Day with practices leading up toit. For this week and next week all playgrounds will have only 1 playground leader as the others are at the Hart Farm Camp with the children, All children attending playgrounds will be notified a day in advance if their Jeader and children plan to leave the grounds for a hike or visit to another playground. Again the playgrounds are held at Uplands School, Parkside School, Kiti-K-Shain School and the Community Centre with the hours being Monday 1-4:30 p,m,, and Tuesday to Friday 10-12 aim, and-1-4:30 p.m. All children should be at « leasl6 years of age and the program is free! was RITCHIE BROS.
