Master of ceremonies for the evening was Mr. Bert Bellamy. In the instrumental category Leslie Paulson captured the first piace trophy for ‘his com- pétence at the plano. Second place trophy went to Debbie Hoisington of Kitimat for her rendition of Razzamatazz. - In the dance category first place honors were given to Kit- imat youngsters, Joanne and Jamie Beld for their tap duet. Second prize was awarded to Lisa Douglas and Denise Lind- say for their number titled “The Irish Steppers.” In novelty category judges awarded the first place trophy to twelve grade six students of Thornhill school for their pan- tomime entitled “The Old Car.” The acrobatic téam of Mrs. Glockner, Mrs. Romios and Mrs. (a -w ONLY. Deserving of special mention | was Douglas Kamp who gave a recitation which was presented with excellent delivery and die- tion. There was no oral speech category. Mrs, Moore and her group of girls from Kitimat were also deserving special mention. Their dance numbers contribut- ed greatly to the overall suctess of the program. The task of judging the show, which was sponsored by the Thornhill Reereation Commis- sion was capably handled by Ruth Hallock, Victor and Elvira Bryant, Paul Axelson and Fred Read. Their task was a difficult one because of the’ wide var- iely of presentations and the high calibre of the perform- ances. Lather Leaguers Ready For Rally Young people of Christ Luth- eran Church are preparing for guesta who will begin to arrive in Terrace Tuesday, March 28 for a Luther League Rally un- der the theme "The 10 Com- mandments in the 20th Cen- tury. ” . Luther Lenguers from con- gregation in Fraser Lake, Burns Lake, Smithers, Hazelton, Prince Rupert and Kitimat, are expected to be in attendance. Featured speaker at the two day Rally will be Rev, C. John- son of Burns Lake. The Luther Leaguers, aged 13 and over will engage in debates and discus- siong in an effort to discover for themselves the relevancy of God's Word for their age. _ A Worship Service on Wed- nesday evening will provide opportunity for parents and adults of the local congregation to meet and greet the visitors.
