November 8, 1993/340 A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act was held prior to the Council Meeting of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, BC on Monday, November 8th, 1993, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors, M.D. Gates, MJ. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot, M.A. Thompson, and M.R. Wright were in attendance. Also in attendance were Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk S. Rauh, City Treasurer/Deputy Administrator J.G.S. Maitland, City Engineer I.R. Zahynacz, Director of Community Planning C.R. Felip, Director of Parks and Recreation K.J. Taylor, and Fire Chief J.L. Baillie. PUBLIC HEARING: Mayor Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaws would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2843 To rezone: Lots 6 and 7 District Lot 174 Group One Plan 18868 New Westminster District from RT-1 (Two Family Residential) to RM-4 (Apartment). The property is located at 2456 and 2460 Atkins Avenue and would permit the development of a 23 unit apartment building. Correspondence was received from Z.D. Barton Cottle, #24-2439 Kelly Avenue regarding his concern for the increase in traffic in the City. Correspondence was received from Michael & Jessie Mazur, #215-2401 Hawthome Avenue expressing concems that the new apartment would conflict with their view. Mr. Malcolm Boniface, #35-3228 Raleigh spoke in opposition to multi-family development in this area and expressed concern fer the increase in traffic as a result of multi-family development. Bylaw No. 2844 To rezone: That 841 m2 portion of: Parcel "One” (524825E) South 67 Feet of the North 134 Feet of Lot "E" District Lot 380 Group One Plan 5570 New Westminster District from RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) to RT-1 (Two-Family Residential)
