SUBJECT: 1991 REVENUE SHARING HIGHWAYS GRANT APPLICATIONS

Recommendation:

1. That the 1991 Revenue Sharing Highways Grant Applications consist of the
following roads:

a. East half of Westwood from (Christmas Way to Kingsway
($960,000.00), and
b. Coast Meridian Road from Westminster to Prairie ($550,000.00)

2. That the funds required for recommendations 1 above be taken from the 1991
Unallocated Public Works Capital Budget.

Background and Comments:

Applications for the 1991 Revenue Sharing Highways Grant are due at the end
of this year. Under this Program the Province will fund 50% of the eleigible
components of approved capital road projects. The submission of the
recommended projects will not necessarily commit Council to the construction
of these projects. Council will have the .opportunity to assess the merits of
these projects afinst other public works projects during the upcoming detailed
Program @ resolution of Council is required.

For the purposes of this application the Public Works Committee considered
the following road projects:
