Brown Director of Community Planning 1857 Harbour Street Development Variance Permit (File No. 1/89) RECOMMENDATION: THAT City Council direct the Clerk's Department to notify surrounding Property owners of this application and to place the following resolution on a subsequent Council agenda. AND THAT City Council issue a Voluntary Development Variance Permit to Proposed Lot 4 of Lot C, Block 55, D.L. 232, Grp. 1 NWLD Plan 5854, relaxing the side yard requirement along the west side of the lot beside proposed Lot 3 from 1.2 metres to 0 metres. BACKGROUND: This application was submitted to City Council as file 66/88. The applicant has resubmitted the proposal with supplementary information and controls. COMMENTS: The proposal is to relocate a house from the south side of Harbour, on what is presently an approved townhouse site. The house size will require that a side yard be relaxed. What the applicant is proposing to do is to have a house constructed along the 0 lot Line side that will complement the house to be moved. Lot 3 the neighbouring lot, has had a restrictive covenant placed upon it that will require a low section of the house to be constructed there beside the low part of the house to be moved onto lot 4. Refinishing of the house to be moved is to be controlled by the applicant's architect. In conclusion approval of this application is recommended. i W.A. Brown ~
