Family Court Committee Activities,

Thank you for the time that you have given us to update
you on the activities of the Joint Family Court Committee for
District No, 43,

The mandate of the Family Court Committee is to consider
and examine the resources of the community for family and
children; to assist the court when requested and generally to
make such recommendations to the court, Attorney General or to
other as it may be considered advisable; e.g. Ministry of Human
Resources, Municipal Councils and other organizations.

Activities of the Family Court Committee to November 1,
1986:

a) Goals were drawn up in a Brainstorming session of the
whole committee for the year,

b) The annual Conference was attended by Margaret Nicolls
on February 21, 22 and 23, 1986. The 1985 Family Court
Committee/Youth Justice Committee Annual Report was
Submitted at that time. A report was made to the
District Committee about the meetings and seminars and
the topics covered by them.
