I apologize for the deluy in following up my visit with this letter, but trust the delay has not inconvenienced yourself or Mr. Lee. The purpose of ouxy Tebruary meeting was to review the long term major road network for the City of Port Coquitlam as being pursued by the City and variations/additions as suggested by the Ministry of Trans- portation, Conmmmications and Iilghways. Clearly, such communications are essential for all concerned if the various agancies are to under- stand and effectively bleni ideas, concerns, and proposals in a mannar that can gain wide endorsement while effectively addressing cur respective objectives. It is my understanding that your Proposed Ultimate Road Network plan, submitted to this Ministry for Revenue Sharing purposes in January 1979, has Council support. You did, however, indicate that a further review and amendments can be expected os warranted by majer land developments and wajor road proposals. It.would clearly be advantagcous for the Municipality ond this Ministry Lf we can reach agreement on a jong term major road strategy which could assist ovr respective land development approving officers, provide guidance for capital improvenents to the monicipal-provincial road system, and be supportive of nunictpal applications for funding under the provisions of the Revenue Sharing Ach.
