Dear Mayor Andrews: It is our understanding from correspondence with Minister McClelland that he met, on April 7, 1976, with officials of the Greater Vancouver Regional Hospital District to discuss hospital priorities for the above region. The purpose of this letter is to reiterate our position on the status quo of the Coquitlam and District Hospital pro- jest and to offer a suggestion for the continuation of our project which, at the same time, will abide with present financial constraints. By-Law No. 32, the Greater Vancouver Regional Hospital District 1972 Financing By-Law, which Yeceived the assent of the owner - electers of the GVRHD, inciuded Coyuitlam ane District Hospital, as one of ten hospital projects to proceed with planning and constcuction of the new hospital. With the concurrence ‘of both GVRHD and BCHP, the Board of Trustees of the Coquitlam and District Hospital hired Mr. Lloyd O'Toole as Planning Administrator on February 4, 1974, and Mrs. Leslie Bishop as Secretary on March lst, 1974.
