Re: Northside Firehall

In accordance with the resolution passed by Council at the
regular meeting held June 30th, 1975 the plans and specifications for
the Northside Firehall have been completed and tenders have been called.
On Thursday, October 30th, 1975 at 4:00 p.m. the Tenders were opened
publicly in the Council Chambers. A Summary of the tenders received

The Tenders have been reviewed by the Engineering Consultants
and by the City Engineer and the iow tender in the amount of $208,240
submitted by Russ Reid Ltd. complies with bidding requirements, is
complete in every way, and is approximately 10% below the estimate sub-
mitted by. the Engineering Consultants. The Committee recommends that
the Contract be awarded to Russ Reid Ltd. at their tendered price of
$208,240. The Committee also recommends that the Engineering Department
provide the necessary inspection during construction.
