RE: Huntington Rubber Proposed Subdivision

Council will recall that in the September 9, 1974 Council Meeting, the Planning
Officer's Memo regarding the subject subdivision was referred. back to the two
Committees for Land-use clarification.

The matter was considered by the two Committees in the October 2, 1974 joint

meeting. The Committees, except Alderman Laking, recommended that the area as

Shown on the attached sketch be rezoned to the newly created M-3 (Special Industrial) «=
Zone. It is the feeling of the Committees that the area as shown on the attached
Sketch is clearly more suited to Industrial use than Residential use. However,

in view of the established Residential use to the North of Davies Avenue, Industrial
uses should be limited to those permitted in M-3, which are designed to be located
close to Residential neighbourheods. .
