SUBJECT: Terry Fox Library Opening Hours

Further to my 84 02 16 report on the 1984 Fraser Valley
Regional Library budget, indicating that the Board of
Management had voted to retain the same budget for a third
consecutive year, the following steps have been taken to
balance the 1984 budget:

a) The Terry Fox Library, as well as all other Libraries in
the system, plus system H.Q., will be closed Mondays and
Friday evening§, starting 1 April 84. The effect of this
reduced level of service is to reduce the work force by
some 44 persons, or about 18 F.~T.ZE's (Full Time
Equivalents).

With effect from 12 April 1984:

No telephone renewals

i) 3 week loan period
i) $2.00 for replacement library cards
