No. 43 be approached to see if they would consider the establishment of ‘ temporary patrols until the traffic light is operational. i Moved by Alderman Mabbett: i Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That as recommended by the Public Works Committee November 28th, 1977 pedestrian actuated traffic lights for the Prairie-Flint intersection be designed and a detailed cost estimate be submitted to Council for approval to proceed as soon as possible; AND THAT in the meantime School District No. 43 be approached to see if they would consider the establishment of temporary crosswalk patrols until the traffic light is operational. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution disc:::sion ensued. Alderman Traboulay felt adult patrols should be used, but Aldermen Mabbett and Thompson felt school authorities should decide whether adult patrols should be used. NEW BUSINESS: Ald. Laking re McDonald's Entrance Alderman Laking asked when McDonald's parking entrance would be completed and the City Engineer advised the plans are in, but work may not be completed until next year. Alderman Laking asked when the meeting with Provincial representatives Ald. Laking re Mtg. on Floodpin on the proposed floodplain building level would be held and the City Bldg. Level Engineer advised that the by-law is now being revised by the Water Rights Branch and will be sent to the City for comment, then a meeting will be arranged.
