The winter session is coming to an end but the spring session. starts on nastics themselves. The program runs for three sessions: fall, winter and spring. The club has. 80 children registered at the present time from ages 5-15 years of age. During this time the _ Terrace Peaks Gymnastics Club has offered pro-. grams for both the recrea- tional gymnast (girls and boys) and for the more serious competitive gym- nasts. The club offers one of the few organized sports training opportun- ities for girls in Terrace and has been very success-- Peaks Gymnastics Club has been active in the community for approxi- mately 16 years under the Management of a small group of dedicated par- ents and volunteers. Classes are held in the Clarence Michiel Elemen- tary School gymnasium and have expanded froma two hour per week pro- gram to 18 hours of gym- nastic instructions weekly. All the coaches have a provincial level of gym- iel School at the same hours. © - The club has been busy meets. The competitive gymnasts will be going to the Prince George invita- tional $.A.G. meet on March 13-16. It will be a busy weekend for the gymnasts, but a good competition. As for other gymnasts, the intermed- jate pre-comp gymnasts are going to a Bronze March 29. a display on April 4 at Clarence Michiel Elemen- tary School gym from 6-8 p.m. Some of the gym- nasts will be given badges of the level that they had be represented by the club's president, Kathy Skrabyc. The girls and boys will each pick their favorite apparatus to show off their skills. This will be a divisional playdown for the gym- nasts where the judges se- lect the top four to go to the B.C. Divisional Cham- pionships in Kamloops. The club would like to thank the Terrace com- munity for all their sup- port over the years and to Terrace minor reps in tournaments Two Terrace minor hockey rep teams are off to season-ending tournaments this weekend. The Skeena Cellulose Peewees are lined up for a 16-team series at Oliver starting Thursday, March 19 and ending up Sunday. Their opening game is Friday morning at 8 o’clock.
