Speaker theft hurts KNOW A BAND which has suddenly gained new monitor speakers, Speakers and a speaker pole? If you do, then the Ter- ‘tace Musicians Associa- ‘tion wants you to contact ithe police. | Those items were stolen |’ ‘from the house of one of ‘the members on Sept, 28 for 29, The equipment is worth $1,500 and the assacia- tion held three years of coffee houses to pay for it, That equipment is not insured, says member Grier Kaiser, The stereo equipment was only brought to the member’s house on the night of the 28th. And golf clubs, and fishing gear which were nearby weren't stolen, That lead Kaiser to think that the thief had been keeping tabs on where the stereo equip- ment was. Now the musician’s as- sociation will have to borrow equipment for its next coffee house on Oct. 18 at Groundworks. Admission will be by donation this time, says Kaiser. I’s not just the Musician’s association which is hurt by this | AT THE: MARKET LYNNE CHRISTIANSEN | VROMAN AND and Lucile Hampton have been veadors at the farmers market for over 10 years, Lucile got involved with the market through her first husband, George Hunter, who was an artist. He passed away in 1984. George had quite a selec- lion of art work. Il was sug- gested to Lucile that she should try and sell some of George’s work through the market and at the mall. So Lucile had some prints and postcards and stationery made up from George’s original art work. Lucile also sells carvings done by her son Vernon. Her other son, Chester, passed away five years ago. Chester had an artistic gift as well. He left behind some beautiful paintings. The Hamptons sell craft items as well as art work, They make plastic braided tugs. Lucile makes beautiful rag rugs from good quality drapery scraps. Other crocheted and quilted crafts are available. Vroman came to Terrace from Saskatchewan.
