Polo Association Scholarship ($250) will be 12 years old and under, The Knights of Colum- bus Scholarship ($500) is award- ed to a performer 13 to 15 years of age. Senior students who are 16 to 25 years old are elibible to compete for the Festival’s most prestigious award, the Northern Drugs Scholarship ($1,000). Admission to this competition is free. This year, for the first time, the winners of these scholarships will be announced at the end of the evening and entertainment will be provided by the Northwest Singers while the judges are making their final decision. The annual Gala Performance featuring a variety of performers from each discipline will be held the following evening, March 19, at 8 p.m. in the R.E.M. Lee Wednesday, March 9, 1988. 1S Theatre, During this concert, all award winners will be presented to the audience. Advance tickets are on sale in the lobby of the R.E.M. Lee Theatre during the Festival. Tickets for this concert usually sell out very quickly, so be sure to get yours early. Admission is adults $5.00, children (12 and under) $3.00. The Thomhitll Junior Secondary School concert band, under director Michael Wen, is one of numerous ensembles from local schools who are hoping for a good showing In the Pacific Northwest Music Festival, Grading results The Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, the school that sets benchmark standards for the progress of music students across Canada, recently released grading results of 1988 winter theory courses for Ter- race students.
