V3C 2A8 Dear Mayor Traboulay: At its meeting on May 29th, 1984, Vancouver City Council received many delegations in support of the attached Motion to request the Provincial Government to declare the Province of Fritish Columbia a Nuclear Weapons Free Zone and to pass legisla- tion prohibiting the transportation, manufacture, distribution or storage of nuclear weapons or any component thereof in British Columbia. Council supported this motion, including requesting the Provincial Government to urge the Federal Government to hold a national referendum to declare Canada a Nuclear Weapons Free Zone and on the question of further testing of the cruise missile.
