Deputy City Engineer SUBJECT: of Biological Monitor (Public Works Committee Meeting of July 17, 1991) That the City appoint ECL Envirowest Consultants Limited as the Biological Monitor on the Coast Meridian Barge Ramp Project at an estimated fee of $3,900. We have now obtained approval of all appropriate authorities. Because of the extremely sensitive nature of the river banks adjacent to the barge ramp project area, Federal Fisheries has requested that we have an on-site biological monitor to ensure that the Contractor does not go outside of the approved limits during construction activity. ECL Envirowest Consultants Limited has already completed some environmental work on this project for the City, and therefore we are proposing to extend their original terms of reference to now include the biological monitor for the construction period. Their estimate of cost is $3,900 and their proposed terms of reference are attached. _ C.F, (Kip) Gaudry, P. Eng. Deputy City Engineer Wl ’ Maitland, City Treasurer
