Recommendation

Ll. That we purchase the Model 520 Zamboni at a cost of
$59,500.06 .

2. That an additional $2,700 be allocated to purchase mag
wheels.

3. The.c monies for this machine come from the equipment
reserve,

Background & Comments

The present "Ice Master” needs to be teplaced aa it is not capable of
Cleaning the ice effectively. When cleaning the ice with this
machine a ripple effect is left. This problem has existed for the
last few years. Both the dealer and the works yard shop have tried
to rectify the problem and have been unsuccessful,

The tender call wag Sent to four companies and only one company
submitted a bid. A bid of $59,500.00 was received from Crocker
Equipment Co. Ltd.

The tender call did not ask for mag wheels; but in the department's

opinion they are more efficient than the regular tires. Each wheel
is worth $550.00 and we require five at a total cost of $2,700.00
