Request the Provincial Government to undertake a major public
education program on AIDS. A major component of this effort should
take place in the seheol system where a comprehensive health
@ducation program should be mandatory for al] grades with AIDS a
high profiie tepic especially in the fina? program for youngsters
leaving the systen.

Endorse in principle an expanded AIDS Prevention and centre! program
in the Yaneouver Health Department with the specific request
reported te Council once the Provincial and Federal Goverzment
response to the above requests have been received.* )

The City Manager RECOMMENDS that the recommendations of the Medical Health
Officer be approved.
