AND WHEREAS the actual foot—frontage of the parcels of land benefitting from or abutting the work is 2,852.32 feet and the taxable foot~frontage of the parcels of land benefitting from or abutting the work is 2,196.94 feet; AND WHEREAS it is necessary to impose a frontage~tax upon the parcels benefitting from or abutting the work in order fo recover to the Local Improvenent Fund the owners’ portion of the cost, plus interest; THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. 6A frontage tax shall be and igs hereby imposed and levied upon the Parcels of land ser forth in Colum I of Schedule "A" of this By-law, which said Schedule is attached hereto and forms a part hereof. 2. The frontage tax shall be levied each year for a period of ten (10) years, as provided by the "Local Imp rovement Charge By-law, 1969, Mo. 912", as amended, commencing in the year 1982 and shall be collected annually by the Collector of the City at the Same time and in the same Manner as other annual Tates and taxes, and shall be subject fo the same penalties for nonpayment and the amount thereof, except as otherwise . . provided, will be the product of the taxable foot-frontage and the annual rate. 3. The annual rate shall be $1.50 per front foot of taxable foot- frontage as provided by the "Local Improvement Charge By-law, 1969, No. 912", as amended. ; 4. The frontage tax imposed herein Shall, save as directed by the Court of Revision, be imposed on the respective Parcels in the manner set forth in Column IT of Schedule "A" opposite the description of the parcel in Colum I. 5. The frontage tax collected as aforesaid shall be paid into the Local Improvement Fund of the City. 4
