New Westminster District ~ 1651 Lougheed Highway - Application
for Building Permit

Pursuant to instructions received from the Council the Building
F Inspector advises that an application for building permit with respect to the
i above~noted property has been received aid he has asked me to refer the same

to the Council for a determination on whether or not the application should

be granted.

Two letters from the property owner that formed part of the
application appear earlier in the Agenda as part of the proceedings for the
o Zoning Public Hearing.

If Council wish to instruct the Building Inspector to issue the ’
necessary building permit consideration should be given to the following
resolution:

a "That the Senior Building Inspector be instructed to issue the
permit for Lot 74, Block 4, District Lot 480, Group One, Plan 20844, that is : i
the subject of Mr. George Karamanolis' letter of March 2nd, 1977." :

If, however, Council are of the opinion that the permit not be granted,
consideration should be given to passage of the following resolution:

"Whereas at a meeting of this Council held on February 24th, 1977, the
Senior Building Inspector was instructed to withhold issuance of building

. permits respecting Lot 74, Block 4, District Lot 480, Group One, Plan 20844,
. New Westminster District for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of the
application;

And Whereas an application for building permit under date of March
2nd, 1977 has been received from Mr. George Karamanolis and it is the opinion
of this Council that the development proposed in the said application is at
variance with amendments in course of preparation to the Zoning By-law; namely,
the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1969, No. 918, Amendment By-law,
1977, No. 1516" and the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1977, No. 1498,
Amendment By-law, 1977, No. 1517"; ,

. Now Therefore be it Resolved that the issuance of the said building : -
permit to George Karamanolis respecting the property herein described be with
held for a further 60 days."
