like it reworded to include "certification by Dyking Commission upon
completion". Also part (g) has nothing to do with the City and the Deputy
Engineer would like to see it removed. This proposed Maintenance Permh is to be
forwarded to Council on Monday.

Results of Retailer Survev - Comnoster Sales
Committee review the report on last year's sales of composters. It was agreed that
although the response was down that the funds should stay in the budget in case
sales increase when three-can collection is enforced. If there is no demand for the
composters the money can still be used to promote other "green" programs such as
Leaf and Yard Waste CoBection. Project Engineer to confirm with Province that
we are still going ahead with composter program.

1994 Environmental Budaet

Deputy Engineer reviewed items that are to be considered under the Budget review
including administration, garbage collection and disposal, re cycling, home
composters, Fraser Basin cost sharing, hazardous waste and soil disposal.
Chairman asked Deputy Engineer to get in touch with Operations Manager to see if
soil disposal was not to be under the Public Works Budget.

Stewardshin Workshon
Councillor Gates brought in information on a Stewardship Workshop and asked if
anyone could atteiid. Project Engineer will try to attend but if not will send for.
information presented at the workshop.
