EXHIBITIONS Canadian Ceramics 1965 - Fine Arts Gallery, U.B.C., July 4- August 19. [| 9b CANADIAN CERAMICS 1965 contains fifty-five separate entries from across Canada. Under the auspices of the Canadian Guild of Potters, and circulated by the Western Canada Art Circuit, the ceramics in this exhibition underwent a rigorous examina- tion prior to being accepted. Their first jury was a regional one, after which the winning entries were further juried by a trio of tough-minded critics: Franz Wildenhain and Harold Brennan, of Rochester, N. Y., and Paul Arthur, Editor, Canadian Art. Among the local potters on show are the following: John A, Boerrigter, Margery Mackay, Wayne Ngan, and Hilda K. Ross, of Greater Vancouver; Santo Mignosa, of Nelson; and Margarete Neh|l-McLennan, of Victoria. Battered after the long circuit but worth a visit - was one critic's reaction. Unfortunately the show has been relegated to a small space at one end of the Gallery. Despite such indifferent display, the show should not be missed. 13.
